Cocoa Krispies is Good for What?

by Disappearing Dave on Monday, November 2, 2009

Not immunity. This is a claim that should be squashed quickly. The request to look at this has been at the FDA since August and it’s still a non-starter for the scrutiny that is afforded lesser sized companies.

Here’s the story at CNN: http://bit.ly/13QAyb

So why not compare BOGUS CLAIMS of good nutrition with EXCEPTIONAL examples of good nutrition like the products from Isganenix? That’s where it gets encouraging!!!! Look at the percentages here:

For some time I’ve been looking for a simple, brief, and concise explanation of what the Isagenix business opportunity is to share with others. Some want the products, some want more. For those that want more, I pulled together a simple site that links to the best video “outline” of what Isagenix is. Anyone can get started too. Check it out.

Reason #568 Why We Need to Naturally Cleanse

by Disappearing Dave on Monday, August 24, 2009

toxicToday’s story about the off-gassing of paraffin candles is a familiar story:

Researchers at South Carolina State University studied petroleum-based and vegetable-source candles to determine their emissions. They let candles from different manufacturers burn for up to six hours in a small box (8 inches x 8 inches x 26 inches), and then collected and analyzed substances released into the air.

They found that paraffin-based candles — the most popular kind — emitted toxic chemicals like toluene and benzene. Soybean candles did not, according to the study, which was presented this week at the American Chemical Society meeting in Washington, D.C. Candles made of beeswax or soybean tend to make mention of that ingredient on their label; paraffin candles may not.

The really interesting thing that the discussion has brought out thus far is more the industry battling with itself over the issue. The Candle industry doesn’t just say it isn’t really an issue, it furthers:

“A lot of household products give off volatile organic compounds, or VOCs,” says David Rosenstreich, M.D., the director of the division of allergy and immunology at New York’s Montefiore Medical Center. Cleaning products, hair sprays, and mousses all contribute to indoor air pollution. “We live in a highly chemically infused environment where people use tons of products,” he adds. “Just because it’s on the supermarket shelves doesn’t mean it’s safe.”

Tastes like a fudgesicle. Where’s the diving board?

by Disappearing Dave on Sunday, August 2, 2009

divingboardfudge

Having thoroughly enjoyed this past week with the new Isalean shake flavors, I would be remiss if I didn’t share my observation that the new Natural Creamy Chocolate tastes like a childhood favorite of mine.

It’s not like I’d ever enjoy two fudgesicles a day – but I CAN have two Isalean shakes a day. Wow! The chocolate flavor is unusually “happy.” The consistency of the powder in this formulation is moister and not at all dry and powdery as you scoop out of the canister. One of the things I’m apt to exclaim when I love a food is “Where’s the diving board?”, implying that if I COULD, I would dive into and immerse myself in this loved food.

From a taste standpoint alone the new Natural Creamy Chocolate satisfies my need to say “Where’s the diving board?” with enthusiasm! But then there’s what Isagenix achieved in the new formulation that deserves additional, well, cheering! The amino acids have been increased and the use of Ionic Alfalfa puts the nutritional value off the chart.

You owe yourself a look and a taste, because you too may find you need a diving board.

But more than that, just comparing the ingredients list with the previous version shows that this blend has been improved all the way into a new product! All four of our family members made yummy sounds just smelling the new powder minutes after it arrived from UPS. It’s more filling, more yummy, and more everything. Don’t miss this!

What size are you wearing again?

by Disappearing Dave on Friday, July 10, 2009

An overweight nation can just be crazy. Why on earth would it be a good idea to have labels on clothes that lie to us? To make us feel better? Huh?

… in recent years, as the American population has become generally more overweight, brands from the luxury names to the mass retail chains have scaled down the size labels on their clothing.

“You may actually be a size 14 and, according to whatever particular store you’re in, you come out a size 10,” said Natalie Nixon, associate professor of fashion industry management at Philadelphia University. “It’s definitely to make the consumer feel good.”

Research shows that, when it comes to self-perception, the concept of “overweight” may be relative.

We’re Back!

by Disappearing Dave on Wednesday, June 24, 2009

Since last October, our family has been on an adventure. We sold our home in two months (to a cash buyer) and moved to Wisconsin to build a new home near our extended family. All this time we’ve never wavered from our Isagenix products. In fact our whole family relies on Isagenix to help us with our health more than ever! Time to share!

No Melamine in Isagenix Products

by Disappearing Dave on Friday, October 3, 2008

Great news! Story posted by Isagenix regarding the presence in milk products of the toxic substance melamine:

News of China’s melamine-tainted milk scandal has led to customer concerns regarding the quality of dairy ingredients in manufactured food products. Please be assured that Isagenix® does not source any milk products or milk-derived ingredients for any of our products, in any market, from China.

Melamine is a toxic industrial chemical that has been used illegally to give the appearance of higher protein content in a product. It has been found in milk, candies, cakes and various other products produced in China.

We are saddened to hear of the melamine contamination of infant formula, which is responsible for more than 54,000 children having to seek medical treatment, the hospitalization of more than 12,900, and the deaths of four infants. In response, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an alert for consumers to beware of certain milk products or milk-derived ingredients originating from China including whey protein.

We have also received absolute assurance of safety from our New Zealand dairy supplier who provides the whey protein used in Isagenix products. The dairy is sourced from farmers who take enormous pride in the quality of their product and have highest ethical standards.

When choosing nutritional products, it’s important to rely on a name that you and your family can trust. Isagenix maintains a “no-compromise” quality policy ensuring the integrity of all individual ingredients as well as finished products.

Sincerely,

Bill Wheeler, Ph.D., ACSM

Want Some Jet Fuel With That?

by Disappearing Dave on Tuesday, September 23, 2008

A story found on CNNs web site saying the The Environmental Protection Agency has decided there’s no need to rid drinking water of a toxic rocket fuel ingredient that has fouled public water supplies around the country. That’s scary.

This underscores again why people need a safe and health vehicle for cleansing their bodies of this stuff that continues to find it’s way into our food and water.

Please check out this information regarding the Isagenix system.  You might also want to be on this week’s live conference call that speaks to the issue of healthy cleansing. The conference call can be reached Thursday, September 25 @ 9 p.m. Eastern 1-712-338-8000, Code 6107#

Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream

by Disappearing Dave on Sunday, September 7, 2008

I just love it when Isagenix updates it’s formulas. Recently, it updated it’s awesome IsaFruits blend. We’ve always loved it, as it quickly became a “must have” in the our home.

The last version was heavy on the watermelon flavor. Like I said, we loved it.

The new version, just out last week, is more cherry-leaning. Mixed with a half shake with a scoop of vanilla IsaLean shake mix and lots of crushed ice, it becomes … cherry vanilla ICE CREAM!

As part of the reformulation of IsaFruits, they added a greater ability to blend with whatever it’s mixed with. Smooth!

When were you able to find something so delicious and yet filled with such nutritious ingredients! Check them out here.

Paying Attention?

by Disappearing Dave on Wednesday, August 13, 2008

Paying Attention?

So why is it’s so easy to get distracted? What have you got to do today? Yes, I know. When I get beyond 4 or 5 things that distract me, I don’t even remember what I was working on at the beginning of my “focus chain.” Does that happen to you? Stay effective? How?

One of my favorite podcasts illustrates the phenomenon of what we must do to stay focused and stay effective in what we do. David Lee Roth used to do a regular radio show from New York that was well, off the wall most of the time. But he hit pay dirt with his evaluation during one show of the newest Rolling Stones album. Now I’m guessing the Rolling Stones don’t have much of a cash flow problem. But as David tells us, they DO have a distraction problem. Check it out here (the whole cut is 20 minutes or so):

It’s been absolutely amazing to me to find out how much nutrition contributes to how I can deal with this kind of stress. How I relate to my work. How I relate to my family. How I relate to life.

What’s the key for me? A healthy cleansing program that includes “no-compromise” ingredients (results that everyone else notices) and a business aspect that pays for it. Whoo Hoo!

Banish Sleep Apnea?

by Disappearing Dave on Friday, August 1, 2008

Before I found Isagenix products, I was overweight at least 40 pounds and being evaluated by my doctor for sleep apnea. My mega-snoring went away after the first 10 pounds melted off. I’ve been sleeping soundly since. I went on to lose over 60 pounds.

Cholesterol Checks For Children?

by Disappearing Dave on Monday, July 7, 2008

I saw this reported on the Today show this morning. If you’ve heard of Melody Peterson’s book “Our Daily Meds“, then you may be thinking that the pharma marketers are going after a new market for statins by targeting children. Could be, I guess.

Years ago, my doctor prescribed such medicine in an attempt to lower my cholesterol to an acceptable level. It didn’t work because I had such bad side effects (sharp pains in my legs) from it. Four months into our Isagenix program, my current doctor checked my cholesterol and found a drop of 80 points! Hmm, traditional medicine versus superfood nutrition. Which one to choose?
